NIGHTLY

The chirping crickets,
A purply sky,
A moonless night,
Beauty is nigh,

WHISPERS

The sun kissed my face,
It played me gently with grace,

The sky was blue and white,
A perfect union of dark and bright,

THE KNOWLEDGE

I am the glowing phoenix, the iolite phoenix,
the blue flame, the evolving child;
I am eternity summed up in the finite,
The flame that burns when the embers grow cold,

THE YEARS OF YESTERNIGHT

If I smiled today, it was because you made me smile yesterday,
The little lights I've seen, the little winds I felt,
It was because you made me smile yesterday,

I'LL WRITE AGAIN

The lightening flash,
No thunders splash,
And then it comes,
A little rumbling noise,

THE GRAIN AND THE SEA

Time has not been with me,
As if twenty four hours isn't enough,
It's been forever I last stopped to write,
But then i remembered, time does not wait in flight,

THE EVENING

Oh sun, who your light from heaven does shine,
And part the clouds so your rays day give,
Like the light of God, that on men does shine,

YOU DO NOT FEAR THE NIGHT

Come take a walk with me,
We'd walk past that shadowed hill,
The one made of rocks and trees,
The one that looks like folded black paper,

THE NOTHING THAT IS EVERYTHING

It's becoming harder to organize my thoughts,
To pen down my ideas in a form to be understood,
The sadness lies in knowing what to say,

THE CAFÉ

You see him journey, a seeking longing,
You see her weary, a hopeful waiting,

TO BORROW A WANDERING LEAF

To walk tomorrow, to leave today,
To stay in tomorrow, with today here,
To have the mind above the day,
And forget, the moment that matters is right here,

DREAMLESS NIGHT

Nights when the sky looks old,of the stars bereft, the moon gone,

Nights when before lost in slumber's grasp, day is a dream,

I lie as I fell, and of the day can't tell,

AND WHEN IT ENDS

We'd cry and then see,
Smile and then on fours,
We'd on twos, a walk, stumble and then run,

DISTANT DREAMS

Silently upon night's billows,
Rode she on gray willows,

Eyes upon a sun,
Yet to come with morrow's morn'.

A weeping child on the bleeding moor,
She lay all tattered and torn,

THIS BEAUTY THAT IS NIGHT

You sit and listen, and try to lay in.
The air is cold, the stars glisten.
You hear the chirping, and in gliding,

You can almost swear,

LET ME BE A NEEDLE AND A LITTLE OF WATER

Mostly I write by night, that's when the world is most quiet,
But tonight, I'll play a little pretend and pretend this is day,
That I'm sitting by a glittering creek by eve',
And that the sun has turned her

I DID NOT FALL IN LOVE

I did not fall in love because I needed a companion,
I did not fall in love because I needed someone to talk to,
It wasn't because I needed a friend,

I fell in love because I couldn't help it,
I fell in love because when I saw you walk,
I couldn't explain why I couldn't stop looking,

I fell in love because it felt like

IT ONLY KNOWS ONENESS

I don't know what it is I feel this night,
I only know of a longing to be heard,
Something that wants to be said,
A song that wants to

A WALK WITH THE MOON

I took a walk with the moon,
She was nowhere to be seen,
Seems so long, forever maybe,
How long it has

UNDER THE TREES

Lay he upon her in silent gaze,
Upon her thighs his spine did graze,
With the night for a blanket,
Beneath the night's Dark
