THIS BEAUTY THAT IS NIGHT
You sit and listen, and try to lay in.
The air is cold, the stars glisten.
You hear the chirping, and in gliding,
You can almost swear,
the night is whispering.
You feel your heart beat, the sweet thumping,
You try to think, but she breathes "lay still".
Your eyes are dreaming, but your ears are awakening,
Taking in, the sweet kisses of the night.
Your eyes are heavy, your lids battling,
As you give in, to this beauty that is night.
