THE JOURNEY

Walking trees, standing clouds,
I still find it amazing, that trees can walk,
It makes me wonder, if they talk too.

I look and look, and I'm hypnotized by
their passing,
Each racing after the other in hypnotizing succession,
It makes me wonder, where they're rushing to.

Then the open fields, then more of them trees,
Little huts, and then a farm, the clouds still standing,
It makes me wonder, if
they've forgotten where they're gOing to.

Then a creek, smiling so beautifully in the sun,
Makes me forget the trees, giving a different peace to my trance,
It makes me wonder, if the creek and the sun are lovers too.

She has to be in love, that creek i just passed,
To smile so bright when the sun is upon her,
It makes me wonder, why i feel like I've loved her before too.

And then this road I'm on, It gives and it gives,
Bearing these cars and never asking for something in return,
It makes me wonder, have i loved like that too?.

This other road I'm on,
How much have i taken, how much have i given?
How my selfishness breaks my heart in two.

The trees weren't running afterall, nor the clouds standing,
I have been the one running, too busy to help,
I have loved the stream, have i loved my fellow man too?

In this bus, i know where i come and from where I'm gone,
But in this life, where Have i come and where do I go?
It's funny how each day, to find the answer is all i do.

And i hurt, and i heal and i have to smile through it all,
I have to keep amending my wrongs,
somewhere deep down, i feel there lies the answer too.

I'm in a bus, on a journey  back home,
Passing the trees, lingering a while with the clouds,
Feeling the wind's caress on my face too,

And I'm still wondering,
"but this journey ain't different from this journey,
In this journey, I'm trying to find my way back home in myself too.
